RideNest is preparing a prearranged transportation service for families and is not yet carrying passengers. This policy covers the current launch site. Additional ride-service notices will be provided before booking opens.
Information you provide now
RideNest may collect contact information, household and service-interest information, driver-candidate vehicle or schedule information, partner-organization information, and the contents of messages or forms you choose to submit.
Children's information
The current forms and Ralphie assistant are intended for adults, parents, guardians, driver candidates, and organization representatives, not for children to use directly. A parent or guardian may provide limited household information, such as a child's age range, to help RideNest plan eligibility and service areas. Do not put a child's full name, school, exact route, medical details, emergency information, or other sensitive child information into a waitlist form or Ralphie chat. Ride-specific child and safety information will require a separate notice before service begins.
How information is used
RideNest may use information it actually receives to respond to questions, process pre-launch interest and candidate submissions, understand launch interest, plan service areas, improve the website and assistant, protect the site, meet legal obligations, and prepare future family, driver, and safety workflows.
Ralphie, the AI assistant
Ralphie is an automated AI assistant, not a person, and may produce incomplete or incorrect answers. When a message is sent to the remote chat service, the message, a session identifier, and related technical data go to RideNest's shared chat service and model provider so the assistant can respond. Chats may be stored and reviewed for support, safety, quality, and launch research. Ralphie is for adults and guardians; it cannot contact a person or emergency service. Do not use it for emergencies, bookings, or sensitive child information. Call 911 for immediate danger.
Calls, chats, and recordings
RideNest may retain written chats and support messages. Before recording or transcribing a confidential telephone or video call, RideNest will give clear notice and obtain affirmative consent from every participant. This policy is not a substitute for that call-time consent. If any participant declines, the call will not be recorded; the participants may continue without recording or use a written channel that is available. Ride-service camera and route-record policies remain unresolved.
Analytics and session insights
RideNest may later use Google Analytics for traffic analysis, PostHog for site-event analysis, and Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps or session replay; naming them here does not mean they are active. If enabled, these tools may receive device and browser details, IP-derived approximate location, referring and visited pages, timestamps, clicks, scrolling, navigation, and similar interaction data. They must not be activated until form values, chat content, and child-related fields are excluded from events and sensitive inputs are masked in replay. Google Search Console provides aggregate search and site-performance information rather than visitor session recordings.
Service providers and other disclosures
RideNest may disclose information to providers that operate hosting, forms, communications, AI chat, analytics, security, and professional support. Those providers handle information under their applicable agreements and privacy terms. RideNest may also disclose information when required by law, to protect a person or the service, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate notice or safeguards.
Sale, advertising, and tracking choices
This policy does not authorize selling personal information or using it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Those uses must not be enabled unless RideNest updates this notice and implements every legally required choice and opt-out control. A Global Privacy Control response is not claimed as implemented until it is tested against the production site.
Retention and security
Specific retention periods for forms, chat, and future ride records have not been published. Before additional collection goes live, RideNest must define deletion triggers, legal holds, access limits, and provider retention. RideNest uses reasonable safeguards, but no website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information you submitted, subject to identity verification, operational needs, and applicable law. You can also ask to stop nonessential launch updates. Contact info@ridenestkids.com. Regulatory passenger concerns may be directed to the CPUC Passenger Section at 1-800-894-9444 or CIU_intake@cpuc.ca.gov.
Changes to this policy
RideNest will post updates on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Before a material change applies to information already collected, RideNest will provide a prominent site notice and any additional notice or consent required by law.
